Ahh, we begin our adventure to California! First by getting stuck in an airport over night. The story continues below. And remember that you can click any picture to make it larger. And to see part 2 of the adventure look at the links to the left and click California trip: pt2

Yay! Trip to California, boo on Chicago. Since there was a big storm in the WINDY city our plane couldn't come to Rochester. Sooo we were stuck in the Rochester airport for hours, at least there was free internet in the business hub. Dave is sad because we have no plane.

Ok, so out flight from Rochester was delayed so much that we missed our connecting flight out of Dulles, D.C. to LA, which also happened to be the last flight of the night. This is me waiting in line at the customer service desk to get our new flight tickets

Since our new flight to LA didn't leave til morning, we slept on the floor in Dulles. Which is just north of Washington D.C. This Dave modeling our sleeping arrangments.

The first thing we did out of the airport was go to an In and Out Burger, and I was introduced to...a million little kids, which you can't see because of the huge group of mormons in line, and some of the LAPD.

We might as well meet some more of the family, Dave's aunt, Colleen. This was in the morning...thus the blue eye mask

Inside the museum! There is a really cool structure (the big metal thing) that opens and closes this one of those expandy balls that you can put sisters in. Lots of fun!

I made this twirly bug with a piece of foam, some feathers, and a little motor that spun it around. I like this museum!

I guess this was the worst time to come and see the roses, but there were still several groups that were still in full bloom. In the back you can see the Natural History museum, which we will go to in just a moment.

Sorry about this picture being really dark, clicking it will enlarge it and you can see it better. This is some dinosaur fossils fighting!!

Here I am in the California part of the Natural Hisotry Museum, counting the rings of a redwood tree.

Quite possibly the most disturbing this i have ever seen. Ever. A scary fish, at least 10 feet long, called Big Mouth. Eeep!

Leaving the musuems we drive by the stadium that USC plays in...The Coliseum. The stadium was originally built for the 1924 olympics held in LA. As you can see the rings and the torch on top of the main gateway.

Freeways are very important to people here in California, see them in all their glory. In the back is part of the LA skyline. (OOOO, and palm trees!)
